Chicago residential firm expanding to Dallas will be based at Love Field

A Chicago-based residential sales firm that’s expanding to North Texas has landed at Dallas’ Love Field with a new local headquarters.

The company – @Properties – is a new local franchise for real estate firm, which is a major player in the Chicago-area residential sales arena

Dallas businessman Jerry Mooty Jr. is opening @properties’ first franchise operation in Texas.

The office will be located in Braniff Centre, the mixed-use redevelopment of the landmark Braniff Airways’ operations base on the east side of Love Field.

Starting in 2018, a development partnership that includes The Arnold Cos, Lincoln Property Co. and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones began a $140 million reconstruction of the historic building on Lemmon Avenue. Built in 1958, the midcentury modern building has been transformed into a new retail, office and aviation complex.

“We could not have asked for a better space to run the @Properties Dallas franchise from than the Braniff Centre,” Mooty said in a statement. “It is an honor to have access to such a meaningful place in the history of Dallas and Love Field Airport.”

The @Properties Dallas office is the third franchise for the Chicago brokerage firm.

Mooty, who is the nephew of Cowboys’ owner Jones, was recently joined in the new @Properties operation by Piper Young, who left Compass real estate’s Dallas office to become a partner and vice president in the new firm.

Braniff Centre houses office, retail and aviation space. The complex includes operations for Flexjet, a private jet aircraft fractional ownership, and the Arnold Cos., which has a 60,000-square-foot hangar and aviation space in the buildings.

Dallas auto dealer Randall Reed has his Lincoln dealership and other companies housed next door in what was once the Legend Airlines Terminal and garage.
