Roads closures begin today in Frisco as crews prep for North Texas Turkey Trot

Streets surrounding Frisco Square and Toyota Stadium will be closed on Thanksgiving Day from 6 to 10 a.m. for the North Texas Turkey Trot, according to a city news release.

Beginning Wednesday at 5 p.m. the portion of Simpson Plaza directly in front of the George A. Purefoy Municipal Center will be closed, but access to Frisco City Hall and Frisco Public Library will be available from the free parking garage in the back. ADA-compliant parking is available on each level next to the elevator.

The streets surrounding Frisco Square and Toyota Stadium will be closed Thursday morning from 6 to 10 a.m. Main Street will be closed between Dallas Parkway and John W. Elliot Drive; Frisco Street will be closed between Main Street and Eldorado Parkway; and most of the streets in Frisco Square between Main and Page streets will be closed during that time.

Traffic on Main Street will be detoured around the race in one of two ways: via Dallas Parkway, Eldorado Parkway and North County Road, and via John W. Elliott Drive, Page Street and Dallas Parkway. Detour signs will be posted.

Frisco Square residents who live on Coleman Boulevard or World Cup Way will have limited access in and out of the area during the event. Movie goers will need to arrive at Cinemark before 10 a.m. will need to approach the building using northbound Dallas Parkway and turning right onto Page Street.
